As September starts off with the familiar and taunting chimes of doom, some of us have started trudging back to our educational prison known as school. Our backpacks weigh down on our backs like an iron ball and chain, classrooms seem to bar us from all the fun that was summer, and our teachers make it clear that vacation is dead as they drone on with their boring list of rules and start piling on the homework.
Exaggerations aside, a lot of us aren’t exactly thrilled to be back in school again. Luckily, when things get really dull, we still have our K-Pop to turn to. This school year, don’t just sit around counting down the class hours. Get moving, start working, but still have fun, as you take a listen to allkpop’s latestMusic Therapy playlist, the Back-to-School edition.

– PART 1: Hallway Mix –
Psy’s “Tree Frog”: Whether you’re a scared frosh or just nervous about school in general, sometimes, you need some fun and confidence-boosting material blasting through your earphones to start your day. This school year, whatever comes your way, from the mocking upperclassmen to the douchiest of peers, brush off the haters and strut to class like a “tree frog” champion as you take a listen to Psy’s defiant lyrics and love your awesome and unique self.
Chorus
Yeah, I’m a tree frog,
no matter what anyone says, I’m me.
Even if I’m a frog inside a well, I’m happy,
that’s right, that’s just me.
That’s right, that’s just me.Final verse:
I’m not wrong, I’m different.
If [you] say it’s a problem, then it [becomes] a problem.

– PART 2: Study Break –
Bang Yong Guk’s & Zelo’s “Never Give Up”: School means homework and exams. And homework and exams mean hours of studying and headaches. Yikes. But before you start turning into a braindead zombie, consider taking a 5-minute K-Pop study break with some calm, soothing tunes to recharge your mind. B.A.P members Bang Yong Guk and Zelo are particularly comforting with their lyrics, as they encourage you to “believe in yourself” as you overcome your mountain-loads of work.
Chorus:
Never give up, have strength.
Face your dreams, [and] never give up.
Get up, get up. If it’s you, then you can do it.
Wake up, wake up, don’t worry.
[Things] will turn out well, never give up.
Because it’s you, because it’s you. Believe in yourself.

Whether you like to party like a rock star, or hold a solo spazz party within your own room, K-Pop artists like 4minute can help you shake off the stress with their “f-f-f-f-funky muzik.” “BOOM, BOOM BOOM, like it, like it?”
Chorus:
Wave your two hands high, high [in the air] however you like,
Shout louder, louder than anybody else.
Take my hand and (go go go go go),
Excitedly, let’s go (go go go go go)!
